HMS Hood was a Royal Navy battleship launched at the end of World War 1. She was in service until May 1941, when she and HMS Prince of Wales were involved in the Battle of the Denmark Strait, where she was sunk by shells from the German ship Bismarck. At 860 feet (262m) long, and 104 feet (31m) beam, HMS Hood displaced 47,430 tons and could achieve 30 knots at full speed. When she sank, only 3 crew of the complement of 1,418 survived.
Piececool’s HMS Hood model kit is one of our most detailed, with 270 brass and stainless steel parts, delivered in 3 sheets, with 8 machined gun barrels for the main armament. It’s a challenging build, guaranteed to deliver hours of satisfaction resulting in a finished model measuring 30cm long.

This was a nice build despite all the small and very small pieces. The instructions, metal and paint were up to Piececools normal high standard and the finished model looks very good.
