This 273 piece metal model kit is based on the most famous example of a Chinese wind and rain bridge – the Chengyang Bridge.

Wind-rain bridges were developed by the Dong people and are a standard feature of their towns and villages, providing sheltered spaces to socialise as well as cross rivers. The structures are made of wood and joined without nails, using traditional joinery techniques. The structures are intricately carved, decorated with cranes, dragons, phoenixes and other creatures.
