This model kit contains 307 precision cut parts in 5 precoloured sheets to build a stunning model pirate ship, measuring 19cm(l) x 5.2cm(w) x 16.2cm(h). The finished model Black Pearl is packed with detail, from golden cannons arranged on two gun decks, to 3 masts, 10 sails and a full set of rigging, all set off with the terrifying skull and crossbones motif!

This was an enjoyable build with a lot of tricky bits. The metal, paint and instructions were of the usual high standard. There are a number of small parts and some repetition especially making the cannons but it went well until the last few steps. The final steps are about putting the thin strips on the rigging and unfortunately they beat me my hands say no more so at the moment it is unfinished but I have kept the parts and might have another go later.
