The AH-64 “Apache” helicopter is a main attack helicopter designed and manufactured by Boeing for the U.S. Army, named after the Native American Apache tribe. It was developed under the U.S. Army’s Advanced Attack Helicopter program as the successor to the AH-1 Cobra.
