The German “Karl-Gerät” was a World War II self-propelled siege mortar capable of firing a a 60 cm (24 in) diameter, 2,170 kg (4,780 lb) shell. Only 7 guns were built of which six saw combat between 1941 and 1945. One Karl-Gerät has survived in the Kubinka Tank Museum in Russia – the remainder were scrapped after the war. This model Karl-Gerat recreates all the fine detail of the full-size weapon, measuring 10 x 4 x 4.5cm when built.
