Ziwei Palace was part of an immense imperial palace complex during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Built in Luoyang, it was six times the size of the Forbidden City and 1 million square meters more than the Daming Palace. It was magnificent and luxurious, and became a model for future palace architecture.
